    Lounge Access Conditions

    Thai Airways International provides airport lounge services to travelers in premium classes, not only at THAI lounges but also Star member carriers’ lounges, Star Alliance branded lounges or TG’s contract lounges around the world. Passengers can access to lounges upon the operating time and conditions at each location.   

     

    (1) THAI Lounge

         (1.1) Royal First Lounge:
    • Present a boarding pass of THAI Royal First Class. One guest is allowed when departing on the same day as an international Star Alliance flight.
    • Present a boarding pass of  Star Alliance First Class. One guest is allowed when departing on the same day as an international Star Alliance flight
    • THAI Royal Orchid Platinum status members and one guest when both of them present boarding passes of any international THAI or Thai Smile flight.
    • Contracted customer airlines or contracted non-airlines (subject to agreement conditions)
    • Passengers holding any staff tickets are counted as non-revenue customers and not eligible to any Star carriers’ own lounge and Star Alliance branded lounges.
    • Flight must depart on the same day of the visit or latest by 05.00 AM next morning Or sooner depending on lounge operating time.
         (1.2) Royal Silk Lounge and Royal Orchid Lounge:
    • Present a boarding pass of THAI Royal Silk Class – no guest allowed
    • Present a boarding pass of Star Alliance Business Class travelers – no guest allowed
    • THAI Royal Orchid Platinum and Gold members presenting a boarding pass of THAI or any Star Alliance flight.  One guest is allowed when departing on the same day of THAI or Star Alliance flights. 
    • THAI Royal Orchid Platinum and Gold members presenting a boarding pass of Thai Smile Airways. One guest is allowed when departing on the same day of THAI or Thai Smile Airways.
    • Star Alliance Gold status cardholders presenting a boarding pass of THAI or any Star Alliance flight. One guest is allowed when departing same day on the same day of THAI or Star Alliance flights.
    • Star Alliance Gold status cardholder presenting a boarding pass of Star Connecting partner and a connecting itinerary of a Star Alliance flight. One guest is allowed when departing on the same flight with Star Alliance Gold passenger.
    • Star Alliance Paid Lounge membership cards (Air Canada Maple Leaf Club – Worldwide and United Airlines United Club ) with one guest departing on the same day of any Star Alliance flights.
    • Contracted customer airlines or contracted non-airlines, subject to agreement conditions
    • Passengers holding any Star Alliance staff tickets are counted as non-revenue customers and not eligible to any Star carriers’ own lounge and Star Alliance branded lounges. 
    • Flight must depart on the same day of the visit or latest by 05.00 AM next morning Or sooner depending on lounge operating time.
          (1.3) Royal Orchid Lounge Prestige (Bangkok international airport):
    • Present a boarding pass of THAI Royal Silk Class – no guest allowed.
    • Present a boarding pass of Star Alliance Business Class travelers – no guest allowed
    • THAI Royal Orchid Platinum and Gold members presenting a boarding pass of THAI or any Star Alliance flight.  One guest is allowed when departing on the same day of THAI or Star Alliance flights. 
    • THAI Royal Orchid Platinum and Gold members presenting a boarding pass of Thai Smile Airways. One guest is allowed when departing on the same day of THAI or Thai Smile Airways.
    • Star Alliance Gold status cardholders presenting a boarding pass of THAI or any Star Alliance flight. One guest is allowed when departing same day on the same day of THAI or Star Alliance flights.
    • Star Alliance Gold status cardholders presenting a boarding pass of Star Connecting partner and a connecting itinerary of a Star Alliance flight. One guest is allowed when departing on the same flight with Star Alliance Gold passenger. 
    • Star Alliance Paid Lounge membership cards (Air Canada Maple Leaf Club – Worldwide and United Airlines United Club ) with one guest departing on the same day of  any Star Alliance flights

         (1.4) Royal Orchid Spa (Bangkok International Airport):
    • Royal First Class Travelersdeparting on a THAI international flight from Bangkok Airport
    • THAI Royal Silk Class passengers departing on a THAI international flight from Bangkok Airport (only neck and shoulder/Foot massage) 
    • Servicing on First come First serve basic by registering at the lounge 

    (2) Star Alliance Member Carrier Owned Lounges and Star Alliance branded lounges worldwide 

    These lounges display the “Star Gold” logo at the entrance. Any more details please recheck in www.staralliance.com

         Royal First Class travel requirements:
    • Present a boarding pass for international travel in Royal First Class on a THAI flight.
    • Depart from a local airport in the international Royal First Class.
    • Flight must depart on the same day of the visit or latest by 05.00 AM next morning or sooner depending on lounge operating time
    • Eligible to bring one guest flying with the same day of any Star Alliance flight
    • Passengers holding any Star Alliance staff tickets are counted as non-revenue customers and not eligible to any Star carriers’ lounge and Star Alliance branded lounges.

    *Some member airlines offer exclusive lounges for their ultra-premium customers: Lufthansa HON/First Class Lounges in Frankfurt and Munich; SWISS HON/First Class Lounges in Zurich and Geneva; Austrian HON/First Class Lounges in Vienna, Thai Airways Spa Lounge in Bangkok (subject to change).

         Royal Silk Class travel requirements:
    • Present a boarding pass for international travel in Royal Silk Class on a THAI flight
    • Depart from a local airport in international Royal Silk Class
    • Flight must depart on the same day of the visit or latest by 05.00 AM next morning or sooner depending on lounge operating time
    • Eligible to one bring guest only if THAI Royal Silk Class travelers are Star Alliance Gold status cardholders
    • Passengers holding any Star Alliance staff tickets are counted as non-revenue customers and not eligible to any Star carriers’ lounge and Star Alliance branded lounges.
    THAI Royal Orchid Plus Platinum and Gold status card travel on a Star Alliance flight requirements:
    • Present a boarding pass for travel in Economy Class on any Star Alliance flight
    • Eligible to bring one guest who also departs on the same day of any Star Alliance flight
    THAI Royal Orchid Plus Platinum and Gold status card on a Star Connecting Partner requirements:
    • Present a boarding pass for travel in Economy Class on a Star Connecting partner with a boarding pass/Booking reference on a connecting flight with Star Alliance member
    • Eligible to bring one guest who departs on the same flight with Platinum and Gold members
         Exceptions:
    • Lufthansa Senator Lounges at certain airports will accept Star Alliance First Class travelers and Star Alliance Gold status cardholders only. Business Class travelers without Star Gold status cards may only access Lufthansa Business Class Lounges.
    • United Airlines Domestic Lounges will not accept any domestic First Class or Business Class travelers unless holding a valid Star Gold status card.

    (3) Contract Lounges (Third Party Lounges)

    Lounges which are not owned by THAI or any Star Alliance members.

         Royal First Class and Royal Silk Class travelers:
    • International and domestic Royal First Class travelers are entitled to bring one guest. Guests must be departing on the same THAI flight as the eligible Royal First Class traveler.
    • Royal Silk Class travelers are not eligible to bring a guest unless they are a Star Alliance Gold status cardholder.
    Royal Orchid Platinum and Gold status travelers:
    • Travel in Economy Class with THAI.
    • Entitled to bring one guest who is also departing on a THAI flight.
    Star Alliance Gold status cardholders
    • Travel in Economy Class with THAI.
    • Entitled to bring one guest who is also departing on a THAI flight.
    Star Alliance Paid Lounge Membership cards:
    • They are not entitled to use any contract lounges.

          Passengers holding any Star Alliance staff tickets are counted as non-revenue customers and not eligible for any THAI’s Contract lounges.

     

    (4) Royal Orchid Plus Platinum status Lounge Access:

    • Bangkok Airport Airport:

      Royal Orchid Plus Platinum status members are entitled to access The Royal First Class Lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport with one accompanying guest when departing on an international THAI or Thai Smile flight, regardless of the ticketed class of service.

    • Lounges abroad where available:
      • THAI Royal First Class Loungedeparting on an international THAI or Thai Smile flight
      • THAI Royal Silk Class Lounge/Royal Orchid Lounges departing on any Star Alliance flights
      •  Star Alliance Carriers’ Lounges and Star Alliance branded lounges displaying the Star Alliance Gold symbol departing on any Star Alliance flights
    Definitions:
    • Star Alliance flights are those flights operated by a Star Alliance member.
    • A boarding pass for a Star Alliance flight is a document issued upon check-in and that allows the traveler to board a flight operated by a Star Alliance member.
    • Eligible passengers and guests must access to the lounge on the same day on a boarding pass of eligible passengers or the latest by 05.00 AM next morning (also subject to lounge operating time). For example, boarding pass of eligible passengers displays departure date on 01Mar20 and departure time 2300hrs. The eligible passengers must access to the lounge on 01 Mar 20 until 02 Mar 20/0500hrs. A boarding pass of the guest must display 01Mar20 or 02 Mar 20/departure time not later than 0500hrs.
    • Departing airport: Passengers are eligible to the lounges by using the privilege of boarding pass of departing airports only. For example, passengers depart from Bangkok to Singapore airport byTHAIand connect from Singapore to Kansai Airport by Singapore Airlines. When passengers access to the lounge at Bangkok, the boarding pass of THAI must be used for lounge access.
    • Connecting Partner flights are flights operated under the two letters code of a Connecting Partner. The current Star Connecting partners are Juneyao Airlines (HO) and Thai Smile Airways (WE). Lounge Access policies will apply to Star Alliance Gold passengers when traveling on a Star connecting flight and connecting to a Star Alliance member only. For example, passengers are eligible to TG lounges at Bangkok if
           1) Passengers travel on Thai Airways from London to Bangkok Airport and connect to Thai Smile Airways from Bangkok to Phuket.
           2) Passengers travel on Thai Smile Airways from Bangkok to Chiang Mai airport and connect to Eva Air from Chiang Mai to Taipei.
    • Any accompanying person over the age of two is considered a guest. Children under the age of two may accompany the customer to the lounge and are not considered as guests.
    • Each eligible customer might bring only one guest to the lounge, even if he is entitled to bring a guest by multiple grounds (e.g. being a First Class customer with Star Alliance Gold status.)
    • Non-Revenue Customers: Airline employees flying on free or service charge tickets, or Industry Discount (e.g., ID50, ID75, ID90) tickets are not eligible to TG lounges, TG contract lounges, any Star carriers’ own lounges, and Star Alliance branded lounges
